Lady GaGa, cantora com maior destaque no ano, comentou sobre seu favoritismo ao lado da cantora veterana Beyoncé na premiação. "É tão fabuloso! Me sinto honrada por estar na companhia de Beyoncé. Não vejo a hora do VMA, tô louca para chutar alguns traseiros", ela disse durante a passagem da sua turnê pela Coréia do Sul.
No dia subirá no palco do VMA para apresentar seus grandes hits. A cantora já é performance confirmada, assim como Jay-Z que deve contar com o apoio de Rihanna e Kanye West para apresentar a faixa "Run This Town".
A apresentação do VMA acontecerá no dia 13 de setembro.
